Accommodation

We provide accommodation in our tented race village from Sunday night (after stage 1) to Saturday night (after stage 7). Please note, there is NO accommodation included in the race entry package for the Sunday night after the finishers' party at Lourensford.

BEFORE THE RACE

Riders can purchase pre and post event accommodation at the official race hotels in Cape Town and Somerset West. Packages are available in the online store in your rider zone. If you don't make use of these options, then you must make your own accommodation arrangements for those nights.

2-Day Traveller’s Package
Price: R 5, 500 (for 2 people)

• 2 nights B&B accommodation at the Protea President Hotel in Cape Town (Fri/Sat)
• 2x Dinner: Around the World Party at the V&A Waterfront (Fri), Protea President Hotel (Sat)
• Lourensford bag and rider bag check-in at the Protea President Hotel
• Shuttle from Protea President Hotel to the start of stage 1 for yourself and your bike (Sun)

4-Day Traveller’s Package
Price: R 9, 800 (for 2 people)

• 4 nights B&B accommodation at the Protea President Hotel in Cape Town (Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat)*
• 3x Dinner: Selected Restaurant (Thu), Around the World Party at the V&A Waterfront (Fri), Protea President Hotel (Sat)
• Outride on Robben Island including Robben Island Tour
• Outride on Table Mountain – experience the 2009 prologue route
• Lourensford bag and rider bag check-in at the Protea President Hotel
• Shuttle from Protea President Hotel to the start of stage 1 for yourself and your bike (Sun)

DURING THE RACE
We provide and pitch a two-person tent for each competitor from Sunday night (after stage 1) to Saturday night (after stage 7). Comfortable foam mattresses will be provided. Please bring a sheet with which to cover your mattress - mattresses are covered in plastic.

PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION ARRANGEMENTS
If you prefer not to stay in the tent accommodation included in your race entry package, you are welcome to contact the local tourism offices to book your own arrangements.
Please note that there is NO PRIVATE CAMPING or over-nighting in the Absa Cape Epic race village areas. Should your companions and supporters wish to camp privately, then camping sites should be secured in each town's caravan parks. We encourage your supporters to join our volunteer or companion programmes to guarantee accommodation close to the race.
