Are there spectator view points to watch the race from?
Yes - there are various spectator points throughout the race at different intervals for you to watch from. You will be able to see the riders at the start of the race , follow them along their journey by watching from viewpoints or see them make the final effort to cross the finish line at the end of each stage.
Where do spectators park to watch the race for the day?
There are allocated parking areas for spectators. Marshals will direct you when you enter the locations.
What can I expect as a spectator?
The Absa Cape Epic features the best Mountain Bikers in the world competing alongside serious Amateur Riders for the ultimate prize in Mountain Biking. As such the Absa Cape Epic is a world class event and the highlight of the international Mountain Biking calendar set in one of the most beautiful regions in the world - the Western Cape, South Africa.
What is the Support Village?
The Support Village can be found at each stage location as close to the Absa Cape Epic race village as possible. These Support Villages are for service providers such as masseuses and bike shops as well as personal team supporters. Space within these villages is limited and needs to be booked for each stage through the Support Village’s manager. Absa Cape Epic do not arrange anything within the Support Village and so will not be held responsible for services provided in the village.
How do I book a space in the Support Village?
A Support Village Manager is in charge of taking all bookings for the entire event and all sites must be booked through him. Please contact Flip or Celia for all enquiries about sites in the Support Villages:

Will there be food and beverage available at the race?
There will be food and beverage vendors at the finish line to purchase whatever you may fancy as well as the Castle Lite Chill Zone.
As a spectator, where will the experience start?
The Absa Cape Epic experience begins at The V&A Waterfront during the Rider Registration. Here, riders collect their registration packs amidst much excitement and spectators get to enjoy the number one tourist destination in Cape Town.
