Epic Info Evening in Austria
For the first time, the Absa Cape Epic will be hosting a Rider Information Evening in Austria on 13 July, to coincide with Austria's biggest MTB Marathon, the Salzkammergut Trophy, the following day. The evening is geared towards riders entered into the Absa Cape Epic as well as those who are interested in finding out more about the race and the preparations involved. The Absa Cape Epic Race Director will be available to answer riders' questions.
Traversing some of Austria's most beautiful scenery in the Salzkammergut Trophy
The next morning attendees can test their legs at the Salzkammergut Trophy, the biggest MTB marathon in Austria with more than 4 000 participants from 37 nations. The race traverses the UNESCO world heritage site, Hallstatt-Dachstein-Salzkammergut, and riders can choose between the extreme distance of 211km with 7 000m climbing or a more typical Epic stage of 120km and 3800m climbing.
