Midlife Crisis - to help coping with turning 50 - Ha Ha!
Life's dream to meet the ultimate challenge, at the same time to raise funds for charity.

Riding the inaugural Trans Hajar stage race, in the Mountains of the Sultanate of Oman, 2011.
In 2010 I cylced 3500mks around Oman, unsupported, to raise funds for a children's charity in Oman, The Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability. Due to the success of this event I did it again in 2012, this time with an Omani cyclist. These two experiences were incredibly humbling. It gave me a wonderful and unique insight into the people and places of Oman, and really did help to raise awareness of the children of Oman who suffer from learning disabilities and educate the people that this is not a scourge or a shame on the family concerned. I feel extremely priveledged to have had the opportunity to meet such welcoming and down to earth people, to experience their culture and to have seen places in Oman that no-one would normally get to see.
