Sucker of punishment!!! I love the event and would like to make it my yearly pilgrimage
2013 -I was in TEAM ABSA with my wife and and rode the event with Godfather to my daugther Andre Ross. The event gave me an opportunity to propose to my wife at the finish line - Absa Cape Epic will always be special to us.
2014 - Rode with Actress Hlubi Mboya following 8 months of training - she did not even have a bicycle when we start training and watching her journey to being an Epic finisher is something that is truly special - today, she continues to ride MTB on a regular and is hooked
2015 - I rode with one of the kids from Diepsloot MTB Aademy - It was special to be able to take a youngster Laurence Mogano from Deipsloot through such an event especially considering that it was a journey of many 1st, ie: Traveling in a plane, seeing Cape Town for the 1st time, the list is endless. I also became AMABUBESI!!!
For 2016 i will be riding with Maurice Mdlolo - An executive who started MTB only 2 years ago and completed his 1st Epic last year 2014. I look forward to being part of his journey to AMABUBESI status
