I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I entered the Cape Epic to achieve a long time goal of mine. I as cyclist with a genetic lung disease called cystic fibrosis, I want to inspire others with the disease by sharing my story. I would like to raise awareness and funds for the Cape Cystic Fibrosis Association, who support the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, as a thank you for all their support throughout my life.

I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I entered the the 2015 Absa Cape Epic in support for my good friend Jason van`t slot who has Cystic Fibrosis.
Furthermore I like epic events that are a great challenge. I love nature and competitions and this event is as challenging as it can get for a mountain biker which excites me very much.
A few years ago I looked at a book about the Absa Cape Epic and said to my girlfriend that this is an insane event and I would never be able to do this. Now I find myself entered for this insane event. Very exciting.

1st place at the mast challenge 2014.
Multiple 1st places in running events.
Top 5 in Triathlete events.

Cape Cystic Fibrosis Association (in support of Red Cross CF Clinic)
Why Riding: Jason was born with cystic fibrosis (cf) , and by raising the profile of this genetic lung disease. The team hope to raise funds for Cape Cystic Fibrosis Association, who support the Red Cross Children's hospital as a way of saying thank you for the years of great care they have given him. Their care and many other influences have created this opportunity for me to be the first cyclist who has cf complete the race.
