How can you say you are a MTB chick and then not have the Epic on your bucket list? And I am clearly a little crazy.....
Best Results:
Started cycling 5 years ago and whilst I do some road cycling (when forced to), I love mountain biking. I'm not the fastest, but I never give up. I enjoy endurance type of events like TransBaviaans (will be completing my 4th one later this year) and will be attempting the 36one in April after doing the half last year. My husband (and Epic partner) and I have completed a number of stage races in the mixed category incl Tankwa, Sani2C and W2W. Any day on my mountain-bike is a HIGHLIGHT!

I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
1) I believe that the Epic is the pinnacle of mountain biking races and an event that any keen mountain biker aspires to do. For me personally there will always be a "gap" in my cycling experience until I've completed an Epic.
2) I like a challenge and pushing the limits
