I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
My crazy mad endurance Comrades training partner Hanja ( and now my riding partner) persuaded me and she managed to secure us a sponsored entry from the V&A Waterfront. I am extremely grateful towards the Waterfront for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I am healthy so why not give it my best go.

My very first stage race To Hell & Back in 2008. I was so unprepared and under trained. My Swinn bike weighed a ton, I had V-brakes and rode with tekkies. I thought I was going to die and then I prayed to die. Now after 5 ToHell events it is still my all-time favourite mtb event. The "gees" in the primitive camp is amazing, no frills and lots of special memories.
