Travelling with the race is a secondary working campsite known as the “Support Village”. These are located within close proximity of each race village and provide much needed support for riders and supporters throughout the duration of the event.

Typically service providers set up shop and provide essential services in addition to what is already on offer in the Race Village. Bike shops offering maintenance packages, masseuses, private team supporters as well as food and beverage vendors are typically part of what is on offer, although anyone is able to rent a site in the village. The Support Village has excellent facilities including showers, toilets and electricity. which are included in the site fee. Many supporters do choose to sleep on-site but it should be noted that the Support Village is a working site, with work often continuing throughout the night which may impact on a sound night’s sleep. Riders can expect to find qualified mechanics and physiotherapists to attend to their needs, as well as a bike wash area.

A Support Village Manager is in charge of taking all bookings for the entire event and all sites must be booked through him. Sites can be booked for the duration of the event or per stage. Each space is booked per Race Village and each site offers a 7m x 7m area.
