Mitas, the largest European producer of bicycle tyres and tubes, has been supporting riders as the official tyre partners of the Absa Cape Epic since 2015. With a field of 650 teams crossing roughly 700 kilometres of rugged terrain, punctures are inevitable; which is why the extension of Mitas’ partnership with the event is essential to every rider. As they will continue to provide tyre stations at water points and in so doing help riders complete the Untamed African Mountain Bike Race.
The rugged terrain of the race tests riders and equipment like no other mountain bike race can.
