We encourage all participants to test-ride this year’s Absa Cape Epic Prologue on Table Mountain – one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Not only are you guaranteed to be blown away by the stunning vistas, flora and fauna of this majestic playground, the indigenous trails and singletracks are sure to challenge you and help sharpen your skills for the start of your journey on 15 March.

All riders however, are required to carry either a day pass (available at the Tokai Plantation Office) or a Level 3 My Activity Permit, which can be purchased at tourism outlets across the Western Cape – this is the Table Mountain National Park after all and it’s your duty to respect it and abide by the rules at all times.

To further enhance your Absa Cape Epic experience we have made the Prologue GPX file available for download at your convenience. The Prologue course can be accessed via the boom on the road to Rhodes Memorial (see map here) and ridden at any time, granted the aforementioned permit has been acquired. Parking is available at the Rhodes Memorial and the map can be seen here. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and go play! Just remember to be vigilant and ride in groups where possible, especially during non-peak hours.
