I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
Beacuse I have raced the Trans Rockies and the Trans Alp and wanted to race the third of the big three multiday mountain bike stage races.
Best Results:
Racing in the innaugural Trans Rockies event and racing in the Trans Alp. Finished both events.

Having finished the TransRockies in 2002 & the TransAlps in 2004 with my partner, Tim Hopkin, we thought this was the next logical progression.
Best Results:
TransRockies 2002 & TransAlps 2004 with my CapeEpic partner, Tim Hopkin. A few single speed epic distance, 12 hour & 24 hour top three finishes. Just a local guy having fun on two wheels!
