I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I have a number of friends and a couple of relatives who have ridden the Epic and all of them recommended it as an awesome challenge and a way of seeing (what little time you get to look around) at the stunning scenery. I was at the race this year as part of the Polar team - and found it to be an awesome experience.
Next year I get a chance to ride it rather than watching from the sidelines.
Best Results:
I completed the 180? Cederberg MTB Experience in October 07, reasonably comfortably (except for a sore butt), despite a tough first stage full of sand, and an ITB injury to my partner's knee ruling him out of the rest of the race. It gave me a taste (although very small) of what is waiting for me in March 08.
