I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
Coming home after my second Cape Epic in 2012 I brought up the option of riding the 2014 Epic as a mixed (merried) couple. After a few weeks of using to the idea, she responded.. And so she started mountainbiking. We bought her a not too expensive 29-er and started training together in the autumn of 2012. The first goal for her was yo find out whether she would both enjoy mountainbiking, cycling in winter and train an average of 10-12 hours a week for such a long period.
In March the final conclusion was a positive one and in April 2013 we managed to get an early bird entry and the real preparation could start.

In 2010 I managed to finish my first Cape Epic , before that I rode a few one day MTB marathons in Austria and Switserland
