I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I had training partners that were training for it, decided that I wanted the medal on my wall one day and managed to scoop a late entry. The Epic is the benchmark event for MTB.. if you tell people that you run, they ask if you've done the Comrades, if you tell people you are into triathlon, they ask if you have done an Ironman, cycling - the Argus and I want an answer when I tell people that I mountain bike.
Best Results:
Races have been good, but I really enjoy the early morning training rides in the forest with mates - definitely the highlight.

As a challenge and to 'tick it off.' As an endurance athlete everyone asked if you have done the Cape Epic.
Best Results:
Results - not many to speak of, I'm from a road / triathlon back round but lots of awesome events and experiences. Sani2C, Transbaviaans and the Southern Storm off road duathlon are highlights of my MTB career.
