I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I think its the greatest MTB race in the world, any keen mountain biker should at some stage do it as a test of endurance and mental strength.

Best Results:
Completing the trans baviaans race and still felt great. Also to do the Attekwas the second time cutting down more than an hour off my first one's time.

Why Riding: This is a Day Care Centre in Fish Hoek Kommetjie South Africa for children with special needs. The centre is situated in the heart of the rural development in Kommetjie. My heart goes out to these children and especially to the teachers. The work they are doing for these children is mind boggling and makes one realise how gratefull we actually are. The devotion of the teachers and the love they show to the children is something special. The centre constantly needs to upgrade its premises and requires working capital to keep going. We trust our drive and participation will help raise more than enough funding/awareness for this centre and ensure their continuing existence.
