I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I worked at the Absa Cape Epic during 2010 as a physio. The Noergaard sisters were in the team I had to massage. They won the ladies category that year and gave me their kit afterwards (at that stage I didn't even own a bike). That was where the inspiration came from. I bought my first mtb in 2011 and an unquenchable passion and addiction for the sport followed shortly after :)
