Charity Details
Diepsloot Mountain Bike Academy
Why Riding: Project run by Absa CIBW staff.
The club is a development project which uses the medium of mountain biking to instill the values of respect (for self and others), hard work and striving for excellence, in under-privileged youth in the Diepsloot area.
In addition to MTB, the club also helps with the development of basic learning skills e.g. reading and maths, through reading and tutoring circles. The project has had great success, with four riders competing in the 2013 Absa Cape Epic and 6 more competing in the Nissan Trailseeker and Spur School series.
