Miles for Smiles
Why Riding: My name is Jaco Coetzee and I am a full time employee at Cipla for the last 8 years. From day one at the company, I have been exposed to Operation Smile through the Miles for Smiles channel and David Grier. Every time a video clip of Operation Smile was shared with us, showing the difference the organisation makes by giving people the right to smile again, it really touched me and I needed to take a few deep breaths to keep my manhood intact.
This has had such an influence on me over the years and I always hoped that there would come a day that I can do my bit to make a difference!
When Johan Louw, a very good General Practitioner friend of mine, contacted me out of the blue and asked if I would be game to compete in the 2016 ABSA Cape Epic, I knew this was the right time to make the difference I always wanted to make!
We entered the race under the team name, Miles for Smiles, and our goal is to raise as much funds possible to give more children their God given right to smile.
Please support us and all the children’s lives we will change on this exciting journey!!!
