I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
Because it's the best race in the world. This year I'm writing an article for Privateer magazine (privateer.cc) about Sally Bigham and female professional marathon racing.
Best Results:
The 2012 Cape Epic was my first mountain bike race, following 6 months of learning how to ride. My partner Claire crashed out on the queen stage so had to finish alone but WHAT an experience riding with some incredible people from the back. Went on to race some of the UCI marathon series in Europe before a crash in June 2012... time to get back on it.
