I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I broke my Femur racing motorbikes in June 2013 and was advised not to race for 18 months. I was in a wheelchair for 3 months and on crutches for 3 months. I started cycling to build up my muscle loss and eventually managed to mountain bike. Despite not having raced yet I decided the Epic would be the ultimate challenge in 2015
Best Results:
Completing the EPIC 2015 after recovery from a broken femur and not having been a mountain biker before. Now addicted and have enjoyed 3 Wines2Whales, 3 Origin of Trails, 4 karoo2 coasts, Dr Evil Classic and The 2017 Joberg2c , also many others like Attakwas, Tip Trans, Trans Baviaans and 36One.

Best Results:
Moved back to Cape Town from London after 12 years. Completed my first Epic while living in London, so want to now see how I compare now that I live here. Tried my hand at all the various MTB funrides this season, so looking forward to the challenge.
