I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
I have always wanted to participate in the ABSA Cape Epic, however I could never muster up the motivation and dedication required to take part in the grueling event. This year however, it seems my stars have aligned and a great opportunity presented itself for my the company I work for (Sappi) to partner with the Qhubeka Foundation for the ABSA Cape Epic. Together we aim to raise 15 Qhubeka bicycles which will be donated to impoverished communities in which we operate in order to change peoples lives.
Best Results:
I have been cycling since I left school in 2000 and spent three years trying to make a career of it. However, three years later I decided to put some backup plans in place and I started studying to be a chartered accountant. This took 7 years to achieve and afterwards I was able to get back into cycling as a hobby.
One of my favorite pastimes is getting to share the joy I get from cycling with my family especially my kids and the freedom it gives them.
