I entered the Absa Cape Epic...
It has always been a dream to do a multi-stage bike race. I grew up with Karl Platt. He is a family friend so I followed for years his races and visited him in 2019 in SA for the cape epic. The next year my brother and I signed up for the lottery, but didn't get a spot. The following year we got a spot. However, we decided, if we ride the cape epic it has to be for a good cause, for charity purposes. Corona came along and our start had to be postponed to 2022. I can't start with my brother, because he moved to Great Britain and didn't have the time for training. So I will start with a good friend of mine Eugen Klassen. And we are supporting projects in SA (popup lifting up people) and Uganda with our participation at the cape epic.
